Main responsibilities

Supporting the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration, which requires the following:

• Supporting pilot countries in implementing Target 2 of the Kunming-Montreal GBF

• Improving the Framework for Ecosystem Restoration Monitoring (FERM), including countries support for restoration data reporting in FERM

• Producing analysis and synthesis related to NBSAPs and Target 2 data submitted by CBD Parties

• Developing draft analytical reports and guidance notes based on the research and consultations

• Designing and presenting training materials and workshops for countries’ support

• Collaborating with multidisciplinary and multicultural teams, and the public sector

Main responsibilities

Leading the French National Ecosystem Assessment program (EFESE), which requires the following:

• Developed and implemented national assessments of biodiversity, ecosystems, and their services

• Support the implementation of National Biodiversity Strategies (e.g. NBSAP)

• Writing technical reports and guidance notes to inform better decision-making

• Overseeing day-to-day management of the project, project team, and stakeholder relationships

• Participating in various working groups (e.g. Eurostat Task Force for Ecosystem Accounting)

• Reviewing and providing feedback on draft reports related to biodiversity and ecosystem services (e.g. IPBES, IUCN, UNEP, SEEA-EA)

• Participating in seminars/conferences and training programs

• Collaborated with various experts from research, NGOs, and politics

Main responsibilities

Supported the Lesotho Territorial Development Advisory Services and Analytics, such as:

• Collected technical information, data, and statistics from multiple sources about agriculture

• Mapped agricultural production trends such as crops and livestock to support policy-making

• Wrote a guidance note to prioritize key investments for territorial development

• Collaborated with multidisciplinary and multicultural teams

Main responsibilities

Support for the implementation of the European EJP-SOIL program, i.e.:

• Performed literature review to assess indicators of soil quality linked to ecosystem services

• Wrote a draft paper identifying key research gaps and opportunities

• Collaborated with various researchers, especially from Wageningen University

Thesis title: "Relationships between ecosystem services related to soil functioning in arable ecosystems in France".

Main responsibilities

As part of my thesis research:

• Analysing and quantifying, in arable ecosystems of mainland France, relationships among ecosystem goods and services related to soil functioning (i.e. agricultural production, nitrogen and water provision to crops, blue water provision, water-quality regulation, and climate regulation via carbon sequestration in soils).

• Improving knowledge of relationships among ecosystem services in arable ecosystems and strategies for managing them.

Main responsibilities

• Simulating the agro-hydrological functioning of the Aveyron River watershed (France) using the MAELIA modelling platform developed by INRAE, to analyse impacts of water-management scenarios in the perspective to develop management solutions for watershed decision makers and stakeholders

• Performing quantitative and spatial analysis of simulation results using R statistical software and ArcGIS

• Writing technical guidance notes for project partners
